Have Fun Organizing Your Garage

Have you ever taken a look at your "Honey Do" list, and cringed at "organize the garage?" It really doesn’t have to be all that horrible. In fact, if you approach it with the right attitude and a creative mindset, organizing your garage can be fun and easy!

Suspended Shelving

Suspended Shelving

Let’s assume that you actually have space in your garage for your car. You’re saying "Yeah, right," aren’t you? But look up. No one ever looks up – you’ll be the first! Now, what do you see? All kinds of space, right? You can use that space! All you need is some shelving. You’ll have plenty of space for your holiday decorations, winter clothes (or even that Patty-Stacker that you don’t use but don’t want to throw away). Garden Station

Most people love to garden. You, on the other hand, can’t do it. Why? Because you can’t find your gardening supplies in your overcrowded garage! Now stop twiddling your (green) thumbs and get to work making your garage a space where you can store (and find) all your gardening supplies easily. All you need is a few organizational tools – drawers for your seeds, pegboard for your tools, big buckets for your potting mix – you get the idea. So get yourself off to your local hardware store, visit the garden center, and get growing!

Awesome DIY Shovel Rack

Okay, now we’re getting somewhere. You’re going to start gardening. But your shovels are all stuffed over into one corner of your garage, behind all that other stuff you haven’t organized. You need a shovel rack! And the good news is you can easily make one yourself. You can build a strong, sturdy shovel rack with just a few materials and some simple tools. No more searching for your shovels, or tripping over them, or losing them under the Patty‑Stacker. You’re getting really good at this! Now you want to start organizing the "little" stuff. Nails, screws, bolts, nuts, washers, dryers (well okay, not dryers, just kidding!). You can do this so easily, and for practically no money at all – you just need to find or buy a board, and a few nails (which you will later organize). Screw or nail the board to a point over your head but within reach. Then take some empty jars, with lids. Nail the lids to the board. Fill the jars with your small objects, and then screw the jars onto the lids. Could it be any easier?

Bike Racks

Bike Racks

Stop buying 47 bikes in the run of any summer because your evil kids keep leaving them in the driveway and you keep running over them. Trust us, bike racks are considerably cheaper in the long run. You can keep the bikes in your garage, and with a cool rack, they won’t even take up floor space in that area that you have been so efficiently organizing! We like this bike rack!

Where is that screwdriver? Probably wherever you dropped it the last time you used it. Make tool storage easy with this great magnetic tool holder.
